Adrian Wojnarowski@wojespn · 5mRick Carlisle -- who led Dallas to the 2011 NBA championship -- informed Mavericks owner Mark Cuban today that he won't be returning as coach next season, Carlisle told ESPN. Carlisle had two years left on his contract. He spent 13 seasons as Mavericks coach.
The Mavs are doing a reset. First Donny Nelson, now Carlisle. He’s the first one of the fired coaches that I have interest in.

Chris Mannix@SIChrisMannix·11mMavericks have a ready-to-go head coach in waiting in Jamahl Mosley, who should get consideration to succeed Carlisle. Mosley is one of the NBA’s top assistant coaches who has (and will) generate interest from other teams.
Luka gotta lose his mind now with Nelson & Carlisle gone

It was time for a change. I think Carlisle is overrated as a coach, honestly. He's solid, but he's also controlling and combative.
