Wow.  You gotta be kidding me.

Paul’s status for the start of the Western Conference finals is currently up in the air, sources say.

Noteworthy: Depending on the medical circumstance, an isolation period could be shorter for a vaccinated individual.

If he’s vaccinated I would think they would just test him until he tests negative and then let him play.

As if the huge number of injury altered playoff series were not bad enough ...

Good thing Phoenix already wrapped up their series and are still waiting for the winner of a series tied at 2-2.

If he’s vaccinated, he must have a breakthrough case, which would be incredibly unlucky.

If he’s not vaccinated, then he’s either out for a week due to close contact, which means he won’t miss any of the conference finals, or significantly longer if he’s infected, in which case who knows how long it will take him to recover.

Odds are he’s not vaccinated (because breakthrough cases are pretty rare at this point given how down cases are right now). Hopefully for the Suns they don’t have an outbreak on their team.

I love CP as a player, but if there is a way to miss a PO game due to a physical condition - he will find it.
He is one of the best regular-season PGs of all time, but regarding PO, I doubt that he is in my top 20 PGs.

If he is not vaccinated, I don't feel bad at all and frankly it seems like karma.  Serves him right for not getting the shot.

If he is vaccinated, it is a terrible break and just another in a long line of missed time from great players (and players in general) this year.

Right, so nothing happens to Lebron yet CP3 might have to miss a whole series because of this

Like I'm not against enforcing this if CP3 did something, but the double standards in the NBA are so obvious.

If CP3 misses any time it will be because he actually got Covid, which is far different than LeBron.  Exposure to a known Covid case while unvaccinated would require him to sit out for 7 days, but the Western Conference Finals are unlikely to begin before next Wednesday.

Unbelievable!

I hope he’s vaccinated. Otherwise, Booker needs to play out of his mind to survive the WCF

Does Utah suddenly become the favorites in the West?  News of Kawhi and Paul certainly should strengthen their odds....

Until Mitchell's ankle goes out again.  (only sort of kidding)

CP3 may be assymptomatic but was tested for covid due to NBA protocols.

How can we say "breaktrough cases" are uncommon at all if people without symptoms tend to be way less tested for covid19 than symptomatic people?

Vaccines have been proven effective in preventing symptomatic desease. Preventing infection and transmission is another matter. It seems that the pfizer's one may do well in that regard, but with far less effectiveness than in preventing the desease itself.

That's why most Western European contries have been way more conservative in halting restrictions than the US was.

Silver should have required all players be vaccinated in order to play in playoffs.

You can still catch and transmit COVID if you're vaccinated, your symptoms will be reduced and your overall likelihood to catch and transmit is lower.

It's exactly like getting the flu jab in this regard.
Man had always assumed that he was more intelligent than dolphins because he had achieved so much—the wheel, New York, wars and so on—whilst all the dolphins had ever done was muck about in the water having a good time.

But conversely, the dolphins had always believed that they were far more intelligent than man—for precisely the same reasons.
