Yuck.  You could see that goal coming.  The Islanders just had a ton of energy after killing that penalty.

Pretty weak by Rask there. He needed to be more aggressive getting the leg blocker to the weak side.

That being said, too many horrible turnovers by the Bruins. They have not played like a smart team the last two games. they have zero chance at the Cup if they keep giving the puck away.

Kuraly putting the finishing touches on this one. For the Islanders.

Edit: Kuraly got lucky and is not the goat tonight. Still a major mental mistake

From a pure entertainment perspective, this series has been outstanding. NHL playoffs hockey is way more exciting than NBA playoffs basketball. Just so much more sit on the edge of your seat, exciting action.

Marchand really bailed the team out there with a fairly lucky shot. Bruins need to be much more composed going forward.

Apologies to Rask. As tony Amonte pointed out in the postgame show, Clifton got seriously lost on that play and left one post wide open, making Rask's life a lot harder.

Still thought Rask could have been stronger on that play, but he was great overall. We need to be a lot smarter with the puck between the blue lines. The Islanders are very opportunistic. Our talent is better than theirs; we need to stop giving them easy opportunities while we're chasing Home Runs.

And the Bruins are unfortunately on the brink...  :(

We outshot them 44-19, yet they got 5 goals in 19 shots. UGH.

I know the refs were also garbage but dang Rask was not good tonight

Cassidy uses his post game press conference to blast the refs and lobby for fairer treatment in Game 6.  Smart. This is what Brad never would do. Cassidy on the other hand is doing everything he can to give his team its best shot of winning.

This series has taken a terrible turn. Allowing 5 goals on 19 shots is horrible, and getting only 4 goals on 44 shots is horrible. Bruins are now 1-2 at home this series, which is not the mark of a great team. This season could be ending earlier than I hoped.

How do you outshoot your opponent 44 - 19 and not win the game ?
I thought the Bruins had the better Goalie coming in and seems Rask was hot 'til the last two games.
What happened ?
The Four Celtic Generals:
Russell - Cowens - Bird - Garnett

The Four Celtic Lieutenants:
Cousy - Havlicek - McHale - Pierce

The goal where Tinordi broke his stick was unfortunate.  It turned a 5 on 4 into a 5 on 3. But Rask was bad.  Big decision coming up for Game 6.

Wow, we look horrible. Rask shaky and team appears to be waiving the white flag.

Unreal we had two shots so far on goal this period  and 3rd is almost up. We looked so good last series too- crazy.

If someone would have told me the Sox have the best chance at winning a title this year, I would have thought you are crazy.

Pretty lame effort for a do-or-die game. I really thought the Bruins were the better team, but the Islanders proved me wrong.
