Time Lord's going to be moving up that list real soon.

Not top 5 but getting Gomes are 50 was pretty darn good.

If Perk counts (draft night trade), then so does Rondo, and he’d be at the top of the list
'23 Historical Draft: Orlando Magic.

PG: Terry Porter (90-91) / Steve Francis (00-01)
SG: Joe Dumars (92-93) / Jeff Hornacek (91-92) / Jerry Stackhouse (00-01)
SF: Brandon Roy (08-09) / Walter Davis (78-79)
PF: Terry Cummings (84-85) / Paul Millsap (15-16)
C: Chris Webber (00-01) / Ralph Sampson (83-84) / Andrew Bogut (09-10)

Am I missing anyone?

I like a Ainge and he hit big with the J’s, but that’s not a great list considering he’s been the GM for 18 years. I would put Rondo #1 even though that was a draft night trade.

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

You know what's really underappreciated? In all the time Danny's been here, he has only made ONE top-10 selection that was our own pick.

That and the Brooklyn picks amount to three total.

So two starters from a dominant world championship team(one a 4 time All-Star, 4 time All-Defense and one time All-NBA player). A guy that was the centerpiece in the KG trade. And two defensive guards that when added to Marcus Smart's time as a Celtic means the Celtics had one of the best, if not the best, defensive guards in the league, on their roster, for over 15 years.

Given we aren't counting top ten picks, where Ainge landed the best player in two consecutive drafts, that's pretty dang good drafting.

:blank:Got to give a mention to Delonte West.  Ainge came out of 2004 with Big Al at 15, Delonte at 24 and Tony Allen at 25.  Given the players selected after 10 that year -- pretty amazing draft by Danny.

And Etwaun Moore not bad at #55 in 2011.

Which teams have done better on such picks over that stretch of time?

Without drilling into each & every team, San Antonio and Milwaukee come to mind but I think its a very small list of teams in the argument.
