I'm happy with the win but we could have played so much better.  I'm not happy with the lazy plays, and I'm not happy allowing this shorthanded Knicks team to shoot 46% from the field.
I don't know I thought the effort was pretty good tonight. Stevens made this point in the radio pre-game which I happened to catch  Often in situations like the Knicks had, you get guys finally getting a chance to play and they go out that first night and play really well. The Knicks shot it pretty well tonight.  But I didn't think the Celtics defensive effort was all that bad.

And offensively the ball movement was very good - they just didn't shoot it all that great but they still scored 113 points.  Could easily have been 125 or more.

I think Tatum's gotta stop complaining to the refs after every drive. They seem to have it out for him.
I noticed that early in this game.

With this win the Celtics are now tied with GSW with a point differential of +7.0, 2nd best in league.

I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

Kid never gets the and one calls when he clearly is fouled while making the layup or jam. Like never. And he is fouled a lot. If he got calls like a veteran star, Tatum would be putting in another 8-12 points a game.

thats a good point ....and may have something to do with his reluctance to drive more, often ....from his standpoint ....it might not pay off

That's also what happened to Paul Pierce during his first 2 years in the league.
After 2 years, the rest is history.
