It would be fun to meet up for a drink or something with other CBers.

The Final Four, I assume.

Ohhh... gotcha. Spring Training baseball is nuts here still. A lot of visitors here for that and my rental properties all booked up on Airbnb...

If you go to Mel's Diner, say hi to him and Alice for me. ;D

It's always amazing how many hip hop lyrics I figure out years later.
So in '97, which means 20 years ago now (wow, can't believe I just wrote that), "Crush On You" by Lil Kim and Lil Cease (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KWC79TcWWsI) was a popular rap song.
In the first verse there's a line, "it's my diner, I'm Mel and your Alice." I understood the words, but no idea what it meant. So now when the words come up in a random forum post here I look it up to figure out the Alice was a tv show, about a waitress Alice working at Mel's Diner owned by Mel, and now that line makes a little more sense. The things you learn from random places.

That's an interesting tidbit! I guess I never heard that song.
