Jackie Mac is the best & Shaughnessey is easily the worst.  His "picking up the pieces" columns are so pathetic they could be written by 8th grade junior high students. Bob ryan blows him away--- jackie and bob are neck and neck for the best
"They forgot about Larry Bird"--- Danny Ainge, 1987

"What happened to the Lakers??!!"--- Wyc Grousbeck, 6/17/08

I don't have a strong opinion here. I kinda like them all, except maybe one or two. I'm just sorta curious what y'all come up with. I always learn a thing or two when I do a poll like this.
Do you consider Utility Lou a New England sports personality? If so,whats your take on him?So far he is fair and on target with most of his reporting, and has broaden his sports knowledge to more than baseball, which is a good thing.

I notice Felger won this thing. Is he from Wisconsin?

Anyway he said something on the radio today that was just gold.

He's talking about Nomar and the other guy is like "It's not fair to just remember a guy and label him based on only the last thing he did".

Felger says "The last thing Jeffry Dahmer did was eat people. Is it unfair to say he's a cannibal?"

You may call it straw man or whatnot. I call it genius.

What did people think of Shaughnessy's hachet job on Nomar in today's Globe?

That article certainly adds more fuel to the fire in regards to CHB critics.

I go hot and cold on Jackie McMullen...she is my favorite and least favorite at the same time.  I think she is the best, but sometimes I think she speculates (for example, after his death she speculated that drug use led to Reggie Lewis' heart condition, as if it were a proven fact. Unless it was reported in Medical Tests, it is speculative and an opinion.) Loved her writing in "When the Game Was Ours" and she knows the game of basketball.
Yesterday is history.
Tomorrow is a mystery.
Today is a gift...
That is why it is called the present.
