Brady and Bill giving the Dolphins the old middle finger with that drive.

That D was killer. Offense needs work. The o-line is getting thin.

Hope Wynn and Cannon get healthy quickly.   Gostkowski has struggled in the past and recovered... But 2 missed PATs plus the FG.  I'd like to see whether new holder is at fault.

Impressive victory, but I think that the Dolphins have a legit shot at 0-16.

Could've been an even bigger blowout had Gostkowski been kicking well. Might be an issue with the holder, but he hasn't looked too good so far. Hopefully he isn't on the decline.

Almost impossible to believe this is his 14th season.  He's been a terrific kicker and I do hope it's a resolvable issue that's at the heart of the current performance.

Yeah, crazy that he's been our kicker for that long. Hopefully he can turn it around.

I know that Bill is always ready for this kind of thing though, so I would be surprised if it's a long problem.

Am I alone, in that the NFL is virtually unwatchable now? The games are not competitive and the amount of bad teams in the league is insane. I may have watched 30 seconds of the first two Patriots games. I’m sorry, but I am not watching that trash. This year’s Pats team can easily go undefeated, but in no way shape or form, do I think they’re a great team. Their schedule is loaded with cupcakes, and any good teams they play (Dallas and Kansas City), the game is conveniently located in Gillette.

I’m enjoying the NFL less, but I don’t diminish the Patriots’ dominance. They are a great team for their era.

Schedule is generated by a formula.

This team won’t go 16-0

They have a 6 game stretch of Houston Philly Dallas Baltimore Cleveland KC.

They should lose at least one of those.

The cupcakes have to do with their division. That is 6 games right there  they can't help that it's horrible. Then 4 are from the NFC East (rotated every 4 years), 4 against the AFC North (rotated every 3 years), and the other two are against the division leaders from last year in non-AFC North divisions.

It's not really fair to say that the Pats aren't 'great' because of their schedule. As you noted, the whole league kind-of blows right now.

AFC is looking very top heavy right now (NE, KC, BALT), jury's still out on a few others (LAC, HOU, IND) and littered with doormats.

This Pats team is good.  Very good and very balanced on both sides of the ball. Barring injuries, they'll remain that way.  However, it won't be until late October until you really learn how good they are.

Teams that will beat the Patriots will be teams who can exploit their offense and slow the pace of the game down PLUS the defense not playing as good of a game as they've recently been doing.

So I'm talking about Baltimore Ravens' defense who might have a chance. Buffalo Bills D can also give the Pats a hard time, too.
