This Celtics team is making me sad at this point.

Starting to remind me of 2013, the last time I was convinced they were gonna be really good and just ... weren't.  That year, as now, they were coming off a somewhat improbable and truly enjoyable near-Finals run.

It's early!  I know.  I keep telling the idiot pessimist at the back of my brain that it's too early and they're too talented with too good a track record to not end up really good.

They'll probably blow out the Suns by 30 after this start.

It's just ... disheartening ... to see them struggle so much right now for no clear reason.

This team just seems to miss more than their fair share of wide open shots.  Logic suggests that will normalize over time, but...

Logic ain't never met the Celtics. I swear, Boston could acquire Curry, Thompson, and Durant and they'd start missing like crazy.
Rythmn matters.  And with the makeup of the team, it’s hard for guys to get in a rthmm.

I'm trying to convince myself that the events of the first 20 games—especially the bad events—won't matter much, if at all, in the long run, but losing by 10 in the first quarter to a garbage team is pretty frustrating.

Well, at the very least you know you can blame it on something that is easily remedied with time and shots - i.e. we're just missing open shots.

While I think open threes eventually become bad shots at a certain point when you're not hitting them, we've largely got good looks in all of our games. And that's because our starting unit scheme is working - our passing is elite and we create so much spacing that we're really hard to defend.

I think we're in our own heads right now, which is exacerbating us missing good looks.

This starting 5 does not play well together for some reason. I’m not sure what the deal is but every game they start off slow and miss a ton of shots. Maybe shake up this starting 5 a little and bring Tatum off the bench start Baynes. It’s crazy that 5 guys on the floor who can all score struggle as much as they do.

Anytime they want to trade Big Al, Brown, and a #1 pick to New Orleans for AD...I'm good with it.

Can't happen until after the season.

I'm out of the loop...why?

The Rose rule and Kyrie's contract.

A team can only trade for one player who was signed under the Rose rule.  They can only trade for Davis is they trade away Kyrie.

It's like the Nba made a rule to stop teams from building teams that can compete with Lebron.
Once you are labeled 'the best' you want to stay up there, and you can't do it by loafing around.

Brown doing an amazing job on Booker. If only someone could guard Warren.

Brown is an excellent defender....

The problem is that this team right now, with the exception of a couple of outlier games, is just not very good at hitting open shots.

There's no good reason they should be this bad at shooting and finishing, but they are, for now.

Of course there’s a reason.  The pieces aren’t fitting well.
