Baby for Rudy seems fair as far as a talent swap.

If we have JO, Shaq, Garnett, Perk and Sheed, although extremely old, we would have decent Center/Power Forward combinations.

So if Sheed stays wouldn't it make sense to have Rudy instead of Baby?  Assuming Shaq signs.

I don't hate it.  I've actually mulled it myself.  However, I'd be really worried with 4 guys that fragile.  But on the other hand, it's not like Baby is going to win us a title if multiple injuries occur.  So in some ways, we have to hope for everyone staying healthy.

I'd think about it, but it'd be better if we could use Sheed instead.

Ehhh I wouldn't be happy with that trade. I think some else made this proposal but I would like a Gaffney/Lafayette/future 1st for Rudy trade. Portland gets rid of Rudy without taking  back any salary and gets a future 1st. We get Rudy without giving up Sheed's contract or Baby. I'm not sure if it would be enough for Port tho..

Do we really need to have ~200 running trades for a fairly marginal NBA talent such as Rudy Fernandez?!

Can't we just get Rudy for a pick? I mean his contract is around one million for the year, so salary wise I don't think it will match.

Now if somehow we do get Rudy for a pick and Sheed comes back, then oh boy this team would be stacked with talent, but that is only a wishful thinking and the possibilities of it happening are very little.

Yup. That's how we do it here.

This is a trend that's really gotta stop.

It's the offseason, we're Celtics fans. If there's something even remotely interesting we're going to look at it at every possible angle and then some.

I don't mean to call you out, because there's been a lot of this lately, but I mean, c'mon, what should we talk about?

Well, BBD is a pretty dependable player. He goes out there when his number is called and hustles. He crashes the boards and isn't afraid to take a jumper when it is there.

If Shaq is indeed signed I think DA must know something we do not about 'Sheed. I'm guessing they talked and 'Sheed is no longer mulling it over, he has made a decision (and who knows, maybe he takes off 'til February, then comes back?).

Why wouldnt we just try to trade Sheed's contract rather than give up depth on our front line. If the Blazers want Sheeds contract I let that go before I start talking about BBD in the discussions... With that being said if they didnt want Sheed then I would trade BBD for Rudy.

If Shaq comes, I'd rather have BBD than Sheed because BBD is more mobile and can also last the grind of a complete season.
