By the way, on that last game...

I noticed that Tractor Traylor was playing....He had just 5 points on just 4 Shot Attempts the ENTIRE GAME and I wonder if Toine was matched-up against him and focused a bit more on DEFENDING him and denying him the Ball in the post.....

Antoine Walker is in BIG TROUBLE right now.   5/16 for 10 points....He missed practically everything tonight.

His Basketball career is in serious jeopardy right now.  :(

And I'm sure you would agree with me, Jamie.

Walker has been RELEASED.... :(

Antoine Walker is a free agent again, released in Puerto Rico
Thu Apr 01,2010 10:27 AM ET By Kurt Helin

From the signs it may be time to give up professional basketball life....

Antoine Walker has been cut by his team in the Puerto Rican league, as Sham Sports reports.

Walker signed with the Puerto Rican team Mets de Guaynabo a few months ago, doing so simultaneously with former Chicago Bulls forward Marcus Fizer. Fizer has played in Puerto Rico twice before, so this is not new for him, but it was Antoine's first time. And like most first times, it ended disastrously and prematurely.

In 8 games for the team, with only 1 start, Walker averaged 28.8 minutes, 12.4 points, 8.6 rebounds and 2.1 assists per game. Those are not bad numbers, but Antoine shot only 41% from the field, 22% from 3 and 52% from the foul line, his 99 total points coming on 94 total field goal attempts. More importantly, those numbers are relative to expectation, and by being the biggest name (and most expensive player) in the whole of the Baloncesto Superior Nacional, expectations for Walker were exceedingly high.

The real losers here are the casinos where Walker owes money. And his agent that is still owed fees. And the others owed money we don't know about. That's becoming quite a long list

>>> This is bad.  I know it's April Fool's day but this is NOT a joke, unfortunately. So now what is Toine going to do?    If he still has those "cars" he owns, it's time to sell them.  And also sell anything else he has 'cause I agree with the Above writer.  It's time to call it a Career.....   I am just praying that he finds a way to repay what he owes...but at the same time, though, if he is unable to repay what he owes at the deadline given, what's going to happen?   Is he going to serve jail/prison time?  How's THAT going to recoup the money owed by his creditors?

But I digress...I hope Jail-time does not have to come into this.     :(

Wow, that's not good news for Toine. What's the guy to do now? If he can't maintain a gig in Puerto Rico, I'm not sure he'd be able to anywhere else.
