WOJ: Sources tell ESPN that Washington is actively shopping both Beal and Gortat. Ownership is disappointed with the results of the Wall-Beal backcourt, and want change. Gortat and his stat chasing antics are also unwelcome in D.C. Nobody is off limits in Washington, sources report.
'23 Historical Draft: Orlando Magic.

PG: Terry Porter (90-91) / Steve Francis (00-01)
SG: Joe Dumars (92-93) / Jeff Hornacek (91-92) / Jerry Stackhouse (00-01)
SF: Brandon Roy (08-09) / Walter Davis (78-79)
PF: Terry Cummings (84-85) / Paul Millsap (15-16)
C: Chris Webber (00-01) / Ralph Sampson (83-84) / Andrew Bogut (09-10)

Woj: Sources are telling ESPN that Danny Ainge still doesn't believe Gordon Hayward will play this season..with that saying, it's believe that the Celtics are  looking for a bench scorer and possibly another big to come off the bench..waiting for buyouts could not come as other teams are still seeing if they can be playoff contenders or not..also C's has Hayward injury money
C/PF-Horford, Baynes, Noel, Theis, Morris,
SF/SG- Tatum, Brown, Hayward, Smart, Semi, Clark
PG- Irving, Rozier, Larkin

You may not trade a player you acquire during this mock trade game. If you don't want him, work a 3-team deal to send him elsewhere before you announce the trade.
Are you allowed to waive a player you traded for to free up the roster spot for another trade?

Sure.

We should also clarify some criteria for voting after the deadline ends. I think last time we just voted on who we thought did the best for their team, regardless if that was putting the team into current contention or setting them up for down the line.

Its whoever did most with their assets.

WOJ: Mavericks are open to offers on Wesley Matthews who they believe has great value to playoff teams.  Also taking offers on Nerlens Noel who still has upside.

Dutch anonymous news reporter: ''Apparently Phoenix' owners don't believe that their team is good enough to attract superstar free agents. Therefore they are willing to use their future cap space to absorb big contracts. How this will help the team is unclear.''

Danny should be on the phone with Dallas, offering the full DPE (with a wink wink agreement with Noel to re-sign a one year deal to increase his value) and whoever....Nader and a couple 2nd rounders.

Painfully obvious after the LA games that another big should be our 1B biggest need besides bench scoring. Noel is by far the best option for our scheme.

Once Memphis bottoms out officially, we should then offer Yabu and our 2018 1st for Tyreke Evans.

If Danny is saying Hayward is for sure not coming back, then the team THIS YEAR needs a temporary option for another scorer. Evans would be a much better 6th man, and can obviously spot start as well.

This team is too good right now to not try to make a couple smaller moves to compete for a title.

I don't view the outbound assets as viable rotation options for next season. Sucks offering up a 1st rounder and Yabu for Tyreke, but looking at it as:

Yabu, Nader, 2018 1st, and two 2nds
For
Evans and Noel

Looks pretty freaking sweet. The DPE is a gift. Let's maximize its potential!

New rotation:

Kyrie/Smart/Rozier/Larkin
Brown/Evans/Smart/Rozier
Tatum/Evans/Morris
Horford/Morris/Theis/Semi
Baynes/Noel/Theis

That is a dope rotation. Noel and Baynes can switch starting depending on the opponent, and Horford can play his natural 4 position virtually the entire game. We improve our bench scoring, defense and rebounding down low, and provide more versatility with lineup options, which have stagnated quite a bit.
Horford/

The DPE isn't a trade asset.  It is an exception that allows Boston to acquire a player on a single year contract for up to 8.4M.

Who needs a bench spark?  Yogi Ferrell is averaging 10.5 ppg shooting 45% and 41% from three while leading a surprising potent Mavericks second unit offense.  Could be huge for a contender with a weak bench for the right offer.

Per Woj: The Rockets are looking at possible upgrades to their roster for a playoff push to dethrone the warriors this year. Rockets believe they can do this 1 of 2 ways: with another elite scorer or some defensive minded players

Per Woj: The Miami Heat might be willing to move Hassan Whiteside and Goran Dragic for the right price, they are looking for young talent and picks.

" Denver GM is really pushing for another Star to pair with Jokic. The Nuggets also need to clear cap space to be able to resign Jokic in the offseason, so shedding salary and expiring contracts are a high priority in any possible trade. GM Artūras Karnišovas really thinks the Time is NOW for Denver as they are set to make the playoffs especially after hearing the news in NO." -Mile High Deli Guy
