The one on his right leg is for Perk, the one on the left is for Delonte.

he's trying to quit smoking?

I cant imagine ray being a smoker , especially with how well he takes care of himself. I just can't ...

oh I know, I was kidding, the last smoker I know of in the NBA was Dino Radja...

Those aren't band-aids.

He's been wearing them for some time now. Several weeks ago I saw it on one of his legs (maybe they were on both then, but I didn't catch it).

They are probably some magnetic things or something. IDK

You mean the last tobacco smoker right?

After 18 months with their Bigs, the Littles were: 46% less likely to use illegal drugs, 27% less likely to use alcohol, 52% less likely to skip school, 37% less likely to skip a class

theyre actually titanium discs called Phiten.  all it does is basically relaxes your body by relieving tension or stiffness of the muscles. a lot of athletes, especially red sox players, wear them. they also come in necklaces, bracelets, and sleeves. the sleeves that ray wears is probably Phiten also.

I believe they are magnetic therapy studs/strips. One theory is that magnets attract the iron in blood and increase blood flow.

It is probably silly voodoo nonsense, but whatever.

The dude is pretty ritualistic about his game, so whatever gets him into the right frame of mind. Even placebo treatments can have psychological benefits.

TP - this is correct - they are Phiten discs, infused with titanium and lauded for their healing and strengthening properties. Many of the Red Sox wear the necklaces and bracelets, and they've now become big in the NBA in many forms. This has been used in Japan for many years, and just recently catching on in the U.S., (you can get them with your favorite teams' colors/logos).
