but seriously, its the offseason, and outside of who we should pick up (and considering our cap situation and needs, the possibilities arent great) trades, no matter how seemingly ridiculous, are one of the few consistent things to talk about.  Treat it as though its a video game.  People get bored of the same old topics and suggestions, and need to spice up conversation with hypotheticals.  After all, while roster changes may not be the best for a teams success and a fan base's happiness, they sure are exciting and controversial.

Haha. Couldn't agree with you more. The offseason is usually the time of the year when people start coming up with ridiculous trade ideas to either: a) start a thread just for the heck of it, or b) start a controversy and stir up some trouble on this board.

The recent rash of Ray Allen trade ideas kinda remind me of the trade Paul Pierce ideas a few years back. These ideas are just too silly to be taken seriously. I guess some of us just got too much time in their hands  :)
