Ersan Ilyasova, Mirotic, Bledsoe, Hill..... are you kidding me?

Last season playoffs, you would have the ball fed to Jaylen Brown where he could just keep attacking Ilyasova (who can't guard him).  Feed the ball to Tatum to attack Mirotic.   Have Horford be the point forward up top , bring Lopez away from the basket, and have guys cutting to the net

None of these things happened, because one player needed to hold onto the ball/play hero ball/trigger happy when he felt like it

where it made the Celts offense, essentially a two man game while the rest just became perimeter shooters

And when you have a crappy offense + bucks sitting on defense .... just conserving their energy and doing their thing on offense/transition basketball

I blame Danny, CBS, Irving ....in this order, why the Celts ultimately failed

Danny -  If you wanted to build around Kyrie, then get him the center he needs that can bail him out defensively from time to time, grab offensive rebounds.  Trade for 3 and D players, to open up the lane

CBS - For letting Irving do whatever he wants without any consequences. Same for Hayward. While benching guys like Brown and Rozier for sometimes small mistakes. Brown misses a few defensive assignments and Morris, Smart yell at him and he gets benched.

Irving - For not adjusting his game to bring the best out of the team.  Again, not recognizing
mismatches like Brown on Ilyasova. Tatum on Ilyasova as examples.   Brown on Brogdon.  Feed the ball and clear the lanes.  Instead Irving goes 1 vs 2 , 1 vs 3...tries to shoot himself out of shooting funks. Wants to be the Hero

Bucks are better this season but the sad thing is that Celts didn't play up to full potential/ effort...which is ultimately the most disappointing thing about this season

It is amazing how far some people will go to avoid giving the Bucks credit
I'm bitter.

Chemistry and the sum of its parts:

Lets not overlook that with all the talent, Cs chemistry is off as opposed to Milwaukee chemistry.  This makes the Bucks sum of its parts a better team than Celtics sum of its parts.

...that, and the leadership (Giannis) is a guy you love to play with.  He plays hard, he is loyal and everyone knows he is committed to the city  - there is no "ask me again in July 1st" situation or the constant circus around AD free agency.

Giannis is committed; and when you happen to have a once in a generation talent, humble, grounded and committed - remember Tim Duncan, Steph Curry -  to the city/franchise, then you have a winner.

Yeah, they may even be better than I thought.  I picked them to come out of the east, but i'm not sure how much I believed it.

But now, with KD banged up a lil bit, they might actually do it, and I DO want them to win to usher out that small-ball mentality the league has.

The return of the big man.

The Bucks were bigger and stronger than us and they shot better.

Size and shooting wins in the playoffs.

Not small point guards.

I think them forcing that whole leadership thing on the team is what was the root cause of everything.

I know in the business world they do this alot, but bringing in an outsider and forcing everyone to fall in line when people like Smart and Horford kind of already ARE...was a disaster waiting to happen.

There was not alot of thought about important things this year, and then throw in the fact Brad always preached there was gonna be no captain...

I mean they just shot themselves in the foot in every way this year.

Milwaukee becoming new prototype for championship team.

The more I watch them, the less bad  about I feel about our series vs them.

It would not shock me if they swept the Raptors and Warriors.

We may be only team to beat them in the playoffs, at least 1 time.

Small point guards *who can’t shoot or finish or defend* don’t win. That was Kyrie in the Mil series.

Steph is not bigger than Kyrie; GSW does just fine because Steph is a better offensive player, and plays on a team that’s built to play together and does play together.

please stop using facts. it interferes with the blame-narrative.

Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

That was my thought, too. The Bucks have proven that they’re absolutely for real.

Bucks are for REAL..

They have Brooke Lopez playing out of his mind...this is the BEST he's played since he's been in the NBA..

They have Malcolm Brogdon back...underrated for what he brings to their team.

Their bench has been more than effective..

Kris Middleton - besides being an All-Star - is playing better defense..

Their coach is EXCEPTIONAL...

I haven't even mentioned Greek Freak yet. That's all I'm going to say there.

IMO they are a 7th or 8th seed WITHOUT Greek Freak. They are disciplined, get up on you defensively AND they love playing for one another.

I ALSO like their ENTIRE TEAM...hard to hate anyone on there.

GSW is going to run into a wall if they meet them in the Finals.
