Cannot wait to see our first True Center in quite some time. Fingers crossed he clicks with Stevens and company!

Seems like Monroe should be playing too.  I'm excited.  I think a lot of people on this forum have glossed over his signing for Tyreke talk for example when we already have Smart returning and now Monroe bringing scoring and a guy who must get doubled and who can reliably score on the second unit.  He will probably be our best rebounder.

Right now I think the biggest thing we need to add is still reliable 3 point shooting but Monroe will be really good.

I'm really excited to see how Monroe looks with this team.  If he can average 10/7 off the bench for us heading into the playoffs this just adds to the genius that is Danny Ainge.

The thing is, we do have plenty of good 3-pt shooters: Tatum-43.8%, Horford-43.6%, Kyrie-40.1%, Jaylen-38.8%, and Rozier-37.3%. They are all pretty high volume shooters from downtown, too, at over 3 per game (Kyrie shoots almost 7!).

I think what we really need is Smart to suddenly get much better or for Hayward to return. Yep, that would really help!  ;D

If Semi O gets a second of playing time today, I'd be disappointed.

Kyrie is the high volume shooter, not the rest.  Two of those guys are our playmakers so we need shooting around them to take attention off.   Compared to many teams out there that isn't a lot of shooting on your roster.  Look at even a bad team like the Hawks, they have 8 players shooting about or above 37% on their roster.  Portland 7, Magic 7.

The team still needs more shooting help, especially coming off the bench.  The offense hasn't been good, the numbers don't lie and neither does the eye test.  And no, the offense wasn't suddenly amazing when Smart was just out either.  I think playmaking has been a big need but shooting would help as well.

I'm also not betting on our young players being knock down in the playoffs.

I hope Monroe is playing.  Let's get him acclimated as soon as possible.

I was impressed with the short video of him on ESPN talking about coming to the c's and wanting to fit in and contribute.  He is saying all the right things.   Hopefully it works out great.

We seem to have the best group of rotation bigs we have had in a long time now.
horford, Monroe, Baynes, Theis, Morris (if he is considered a big, not sure)

Once Smart gets back and we have our full depth + Monroe hopefully we can get back to some winning streaks.

Boy, as excited as I was about Baynes starting off the year, I'm just as exasperated by his play now.
