The X Factor will be Semi Ojele. He did a great job last year and I expect nothing less this go round. We can only hope to contain Giannis at this point..

Third time's a charm"

Take 3 for our "real" starting 5.

1st take - Gordon got injured within 5 mins
2nd take - We were 10-10 and we went for a different look (GH wasn't his old self)
3rd take - Smarts out-JB in, GH is playing well, Al spreads Brook so far out that he basically escorts him to the bench.

Just don't let Middleton do his thing.

Yeah. Everyone in the national media and on here talks about MVP Giannis.

But my biggest fear is Middleton going Ray Allen on us (as he usually does) and dropping 30+ a game throughout the series   :P

If that happens in addition to Giannis going beast mode as we expect, then yeah our chances become super slim (even slimmer than they are now).

Also expect Eric Bledsoe, Ersan Ilyasova, Brook Lopez, and Malcolm Brogdon to have career games against the Celtics.  :(
With Brogdon out for the season I doubt he will!

When comparing each teams sweep I see a hobbled/missing Griffin Pistons team easier, maybe much easier than the Pacers team even missing Oladipo we just played.

With a much improved Hayward I think it will be a very close series, and minus Smart maybe in some ways is helping distributing minutes better, but of course I hope Smart makes it back at some point this series.

Brad needs to figure out a way to contain GF without fouling him. No one else has of yet. League has to start calling more charges against him.

Have we seen Theis on Giannis? Theis was out during the playoffs last year and I don't have a good memory of Theis guarding Giannis during this regular season. I know he hasn't been good for a while but, physically, he seems like he'd be as well suited at tangling with Giannis as anyone.
In the 1st Milwaukee game this year, where the C's won, Brown and Theis were out and Semi started and played 22 minutes, mostly all on Giannis.

In the second meeting, Horford, Morris and Baynes we're out so Semi started but if I remember right Brown, Smart and Hayward spent most of the night on Giannis while Semi and Theis played against Lopez and Maker. C's lost by 13.

In the last meeting this year, Bucks won by a point, the Celtics were shorthanded again with no Hayward or Baynes. Semi played 12 minutes, Theis 6 minutes and neither did much of anything. It was mostly Morris and Brown on Giannis, if I remember correctly.

So, the Celtics will be down Smart in the series, but I think Stevens will go with Morris, Hayward and Semi on Giannis with Brown denying Middleton.

Brown “denying” Middleton? Your memory is short. Brown could not stop Middleton last year playoffs.

When did I ever say that Brown stopped Middleton last year? Middleton was great last year.

I said I think Stevens will go with Morris, Hayward and Semi defending Giannis and Brown denying Middleton. I think that's what Stevens will do. Guard Middleton tight, denying him the ball as much as possible.

I went Boston in 6, which was a more popular choice than I thought it would be! That would mean winning twice on the road!

It's gonna be a great series whichever way it goes, gonna enjoy watching it!

No. The Celtics can win just one on the road. The series is 2-2-1-1-1 not 2-3-2. 2-3-2 doesn't happen until the Finals.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think even the finals are 2-2-1-1-1 now.

My head says Bucks in 7 and that pessimism helps to manage expectations, but I think the Celts could win in 7 and that's what my heart says.

Brad loves the underdog role . Bucks now THE team , and all the pressure that goes with it.   We ll see how prey reacts when the Celtics come deer hunting .

Best game to steal will be Game 1. Get that and Boston is set up nicely.
