Celtics will remember Murray trying for 50 with that last second shot to get 50. Hope that p!sses off this team and gets them motivated.
Their problems run deeper than worrying about some guy trying to show them up.  The way they've been playing they deserve to be shown up.
They have been on the road and played their last two games against competition that had a combined record of 13-4. A guy on the other team scored almost 50. If they played at home during a home stretch and Murray plays like he usually does the C's are 2-0 the last two games.

It's hard to take a team when a guy goes bananas like Murray tonight, he was pretty much automatic points whenever Denver needed them. Nothing in our defense could've stopped him tonight.

Tatum has forgotten how to shoot the basketball over the summer, he hasn't shot 50% or better in a game since the Knicks game on 10/20. I'm hoping he's gets his rhythm back. He really is having a hard time in this offense.

Kyrie obviously still need to be the man taking the most shots out of everyone every night right now.

I'm predicting a 1-4 road trip with a win against the Suns, the Celt's offense still has a looong way to go.

Murray getting hot wasn't the problem. Its their anemic 3pt-reliant offense and lack of rebounding killled their chances. Only Brown and Morris are constantly attacking the basket. Tatum's training with Kobe may have done more harm than helping his game. He should have practiced running off the screen and shoot.

No one can call them out. They'd lose their job.  But yeah, Scal is annoying. In fact everyone on that broadcast is annoying except for Mike, Tommy and maybe Abby.  The rest....

At least somebody in the broadcast noticed.

They should be less p---ed off at Murray for trying to get 50, and more p---ed off that they let him go for 48.

Exactly. They had the opportunity to stop him all through out the game and couldn’t. Even during that final possession. This isn’t high school basketball these are professionals.

Agree. And even as the ultimate homer Tommy is at least vaguely critical sometimes.

This stuff is a disgrace compared to guys like Eckersley, Joe Castiglione, even Scott Zolack.

It’s almost like they don’t know what the pecking order is and are all playing within themselves to not p--- their teammates off. Last year there was a clear pecking order - kyrie, Gordon (till injury) then Al. Then later in the year Tatum Morris and brown. This year there are at least 6 guys in this team who could conceivably score 20+ ppg but it feels like they are all playing within themselves.

They need to get back to what they were doing in the first quarter.

This Celtics team should also be able to score more than a 107 points with all the weapons they have. They are getting killed on the free throw line and why is Rozier allowed to just keep chucking up shots every night? These are not good shots in the flow of the offense, these are crazy momentum killing shots. If Rozier isn't shooting well, why is he playing he had a 0-1 assist to turnover rate tonight. He's not a point guard.

Just blowing off steam, goodnight!

.

It’s possible Scal is reluctant because if he gives them a spray they will come back and say “listen dude you averaged 1ppg over your career don’t tell us we’re playing bad because our worst is still better than your best.”

I find Tommy to be annoying, honestly.

I think Mike might be the best play-by-play guy in the business. The New Orleans crew is pretty good, too, though.

Kyrie just said that he thought they shot too many 3s instead of going after the easy 2s

This isn't the first time Murray has acted like a punk at the end of a game. He did it against the Lakers in two games last year.
