Cavaliers reportedly offered Thompson, JR Smith & their OWN First Rounder for DeAndre Jordan.
Clippers (obviously) said "No".
Things could change in the coming days, but if CLE is reluctant to trade that BKN pick for a "win-now" move, it might mean they are accepting Lebron's departure this upcoming July.
Question is by calling Lebrons bluff and not making moves at deadline that matter will he mentally checkout rest of season?
I think he could checkout this regular season, then go hard in the playoffs again.
BUT.. I kind of agree with Stephen A. Smith when he thinks Lebron would much rather lose earlier in the playoffs than to go tryhard all the way until they lose soundly in 4 or 5 to Golden State.
Lebron took a chance last year vs. GSW and despite posting a triple-double average, the Warriors soundly beat them in 5 games, and CLE's lone win came in a game where they had career nights from a bunch of people, and yet GSW still put up like 120 that game.
And frankly, barring any big trades, their current team is worse than last year's, and much older too. Lue is clueless as well, so...
best solution for Cavs .......providing Bron goes along and plays nice ...which you know he won't .....is to trade Brons butt for all you can get and TANK like crazy .
Bron and his over the hil gang is doing nothing holding up Cavs rebuld ..
They should take a note from DA and Nets trade and dump that load of hot garbage. NOW.
Well, I think there's the issue of Lebron having the NTC right now, so...
