So every player who gets a DNP for a game or two should be cut because every player plays every game or they are not valuable. Maybe Theis is nursing an injury - he was expected to be out much longer than he was. Not valid reasoning.

I can't remember someone drawing so many off-ball fouls. Reminds me of Leon Powe. He puts himself in spots that make the other team uncomfortable. I love it.

Yabusele got playing time because the Celtics needed to put someone with bulk on Julius Randle. In any case cutting Theis won't impact their payroll at all he's getting paid just around 1m if I recall correctly.

Cutting guaranteed contracts never has a positive effect on your payroll. It just creates dead money, and then if you sign someone to replace them they get added to your payroll

I just don't understand why we're not using Theis (more). He has shown to be a very solid player, but he gets very few minutes and the last two games he didn't play at all. Maybe he's still injured, but he wasn't noted to be inactive, so what's going on?

I believe I heard that +50 is third highest in NBA history (said in Post-game analysis). I can't confirm it though.  Either way it was an impressive night from Theis and his stat-line speaks to that.

Do you think Ainge agrees to an A. Davis for D. Theis trade? I dont think Davis+Mirotic cuts it, NO probably has to add future picks.

Theis had ACL surgery at the end of March. He has made a remarkable recovery.
