Anyone else noticed that whenever Terry is passed the ball - when he's looking for the shot, the pass is hardly a good one?  a lot of them have landed at his feet, or his side, I haven't seen one yet in today's game, when he is in a shooting position, that has hit him on the chest.

I'm not making excuses for him, he probably would have bricked them anyway, just something I observed.

The notion that Green is a good defender is wrong but it's the notion that Green is somehow a good defender against Lebron and Melo simply because hey, he's their height and I guess athletic is absolute nonsense.

Melo is pretty decent at this basketball thing, you know.

Even with his length, Green can't play far off of Melo.  He's too good as a shooter, and his release is too quick.

Terrible rebounding yields a three by the Knicks.

Do we ever win when we go small for long periods of time?
Once you are labeled 'the best' you want to stay up there, and you can't do it by loafing around.

Big triple by Melo. Painful shot to give up.

Tough being a jump shooting team that can't seem to hit shots lately. This reminds me of the ECF.

WE would give up open 3s to highschool kids. I swear, we must give up the most wide open 3s to everyone in the league.

So [dang] frustrating.

I just figured his teammates were doing that so he wouldn't shoot and be forced to pass to someone who might make a shot...

...and I have always liked Terry.

Yeah, I have seen a couple of those too. And another couple where Terry mishandled and bobbled the pass and lost his chance at shooting the ball.

There's playing off him a bit and then grinding him like Green is doing.  You grind lights out shooters who can't drive, not aggressive drivers like Carmelo.  It's nonsense.  If Green plays a step off him instead of bodying him up, he can still contest a jumper.  Anyway, it's better to let Carmelo shoot from outside than let him absolutely blow by you repeatedly.  That's incredibly dumb defense.
