I guess this was a foregone conclusion already, but they have officially announced it. Congrats to Danny. Now his team needs to perform and play like we deserve to be in the finals THIS year!

Congrats to Danny!  Last year this time we were praying to the ping pong ball God.  This year we're debating the team's play in the 2nd round, after a 66 win season.  Amazing.

Danny deserves all the accolades that will be thrown his way for the job he did this year. It has been a truly amazing job and Danny deserves the heartfelt gratitude and congratulatory salutations he receives from Celtics fans far and wide.

This also may have been the earliest decided and most unsuspenseful postseason award that the NBA has ever given out.

Thanks and Congrats Danny!! You made my winter and spring eventful once again.

what did was able to pull off this season was nothing short of amazing!  i was very critical of danny and thought his time in boston was close to being up, until this season's acquisitions.  i always thought he did an excellent job of drafting players, no matter what # pick we had.  however, i was critical of him with his trades and free agent signings.

kudos to danny, u deserve it.  if he wins any money or prizes for this award, he should split it with mchale ;D

Thank you and Congrats to Danny for bringing the dominant winning back for the Celtics and turning the ping pong nightmare into the Celtics windfall. This season has been fun so far and hopefully will continue until the banner is raised to our storied rafters...

Ainge deserves this.  He completely changed the level of talent on the team.

Congrats to Danny!  Amidst all the complaining of this teams road playoff woes etc...it's important to remember how amazing it is that the Celtics have even had the opportunity to lose 5 straight road playoff games.

Yup

Congrats to Danny!  He definitely deserves it.

The only problem I have with Danny is not getting rid of Doc last season and even offering him an extension before the playoffs this season. ???

Did Kevin McHale get any 1st place votes? ;D
See, this is why I'm not allowed to announce NBA games -- I'd be talking in the Cookie Monster voice right now:

Ahhhhhhhhhh ... my knee hurts ... ahhhhhhhhhhhhh ... me don't like when my knee hurts ...

Sorry, I couldn't resist it!  ;D ;D ;D

Wonder what that guy is doing now. He probably has front row season tickets and has been at every single home game cheering his you know what off!

No doubt about it, Ainge deserves is hands down and it isn't even close.

I was highly critical of the majority of his moves the first few years he was here, but he has certainly shown me that he knows what he is doing. Certainly some luck played into us being able to acquire Allen and Garnett, but he made some very smart FA signings over the past year as well...

Congratulations Danny!
