I read yesterday's post, "Complaints" and found one glarring omission, Pierce. How is he not one of the main guys to blame for our road woes, especially in Cleveland? It's clear to me that the offense has to (since KG refuses to be a 30+ PPG scorer and someone kidnapped Ray Allen) run through Pierce. And Paul has to want this, I mean REALLY want this, ya know, like LeBron wants this. This series could begin to define Pierce's career. If he takes the team (at least offensively) on his back starting tonight and throughout the rest of the playoffs he could very well end up a hall of famer. If he puts up another one of those 5-16 nights I think this team is all done. I would expect Pierce to come out blazing tonight with that westcoast swagger we know and love. Again, I would expect this, but I haven't seen it when it matters most in this series. LeBron has struggled mightily thus far but even when he's shooting 20 or 30% from the floor he still ends up with double digit assists. He just finds a way to beat you. Now granted, that's LeBron. But we've all seen this from Pierce as well and I'm sure he'll be the first to tell you he can go blow-for-blow with King James. Well, we're all waiting Paul. Tonight's the night, if not, see ya in '09.
