I read yesterday's post, "Complaints" and found one glarring omission, Pierce. How is he not one of the main guys to blame for our road woes, especially in Cleveland? It's clear to me that the offense has to (since KG refuses to be a 30+ PPG scorer and someone kidnapped Ray Allen) run through Pierce. And Paul has to want this, I mean REALLY want this, ya know, like LeBron wants this. This series could begin to define Pierce's career. If he takes the team (at least offensively) on his back starting tonight and throughout the rest of the playoffs he could very well end up a hall of famer. If he puts up another one of those 5-16 nights I think this team is all done. I would expect Pierce to come out blazing tonight with that westcoast swagger we know and love. Again, I would expect this, but I haven't seen it when it matters most in this series. LeBron has struggled mightily thus far but even when he's shooting 20 or 30% from the floor he still ends up with double digit assists. He just finds a way to beat you. Now granted, that's LeBron. But we've all seen this from Pierce as well and I'm sure he'll be the first to tell you he can go blow-for-blow with King James. Well, we're all waiting Paul. Tonight's the night, if not, see ya in '09.

dont blame paul, hes guarding lebron to the tune of the worst shooting of his career.

I said before the series started "ray allen and paul have to equal or beat lebrons scoring together or we are in trouble."
well paul has met his requirements(could use some free throw training),Ray allen has been garbage(except for his free throw shooting).

if we lose to the cavs Ray should retire at the end of this season.

Doc has to allow Pierce to take over the game.  The players are too caught up in the team mentality and its killing us.  We all know pierce loves and can take over a game.  The problem is that when he does and misses some shots everyone jumps all over him for being a ball hog and trying to be the hero.  Lets be fair to Pierce guys.

pierce is doing the best he can. If pierce was kobe bryant you know he would try to take over, but thats kobe. And we are lucky that pierce has not let lebron explode yet.

Lets face the fact, this is paul pierce. Not lebron, not kobe not dwayne wade(its like expecting perk to outscore on a guy like tim duncan. He could maybe neutralize duncan but thats the best he can do)

The two guys that i'am disappointed with though is ray allen and KG. Ray allen has wally on him, he should be taking him one on one easily(penetrate, stop and pop) every single time. Also kg has ilgauskus on him. He should penetrate every time he gets the ball downlow

Is doc our offensive coach specialist/head coach?? the guy who is the offesnvie coach is brutal this series
