In Perk's defense (somewhat anyway) when you're on a panel of talking heads, it's hard to stand out so I think he tries to be outrageous with some of his takes. But I also think the longer you do something like that, your lack of depth shows up - and I think Perk suffers from that a bit. It doesn't help that the ESPN studio show is the world's worst. They still haven't figured out how to get that right.

As far as the NBC Boston show goes, I think Eddie House may have taken Perk's 'minutes'.

I'm sure he see's the 18m per year offer SAS got from ESPN and feels if I just spout nonsense like SAS maybe I'll get paid too.  Perkins never made more then 9m in a season in the NBA.  ESPN seems to love having guys like Perk who will start controversy even if they are wrong like Perk has been about the C's.  I'm sure it increases viewership.

I don't expect Perk to be a Homer like Paul Pierce is but I'd rather a homer then a sellout.  Perk can turn in his shamrock card if it hasn't already been taken.

For $18 million per year, I'd become a full-on Lakers schill, bashing the Celts at every opportunity.  Nobody needs to know who I'm actually rooting for.
Whilst exaggerated, this is generally the fan-to-sports-journo pipeline.
Man had always assumed that he was more intelligent than dolphins because he had achieved so much--the wheel, New York, wars and so on--whilst all the dolphins had ever done was muck about in the water having a good time.

But conversely, the dolphins had always believed that they were far more intelligent than man--for precisely the same reason.

Just gotta make yourself famous first Sparz, start posting your takes on Twitter and Tiktok or something...you can call yourself "JinxSparz" and title it "Do the opposite of what I say and make $$$!"  :police:

Then you can get DraftKings and the other betting sites to start running ads with you and then you will rake in the Benjamins

Btw, as far as anyone knows, including Scal, Perk was not actually banned from Celtics team access. The thread title is misinformation.  Scal suggested that he might not be welcome but this stems from the fact that he wasn?t invited. I don?t think anyone was specifically invited (maybe players who played with the current group?), it was speculation from Scal and even he didn?t indicate an actual stated Perk ban coming from management. The Perk interview with Felger is fine - Perk comes off fine. As I said earlier, Perk might have waited more than two days for a call/email before publicly declaring Scal a coward but other than that, no big deal.
