How about Church lady, McGruber, and one of my new favorites, Mark Wahlberg talks to animals.

Not to be contrary, but two of my favorites aren't listed here: The Church Lady and Chris Farley's Matt Foley in "A Van Down By The River" ...

Mr. Peepers used to really make me laugh.

Once you are labeled 'the best' you want to stay up there, and you can't do it by loafing around.

I liked the greek restraunt sketch, but canteen boy is probably the funniest for my money.

I liked when Jesse Jackson read Green Eggs and Ham and when McCain and Palin were on and made a lot of fun of themselves, but that wasn't recurring

There were also skits made for specific people that weren't recurring, like when they had William Shatner who was on the Enterprise, which had become a restaurant and Kahn showed up and tried to get them in trouble with the health inspector pointing out the salad bar had no sneeze guard

I watched every single episode of the 90's and I have a few fav's. I don't like the old stuff, sets look icky.

Simon - Mike Myers
Canteen Boy - Sandler
Wayne's World (pre movie) - Carvey and Myers
Nat X - Rock
Goat Boy - Jim Bruer (most underutilized SNL cast member of all time)
David Letterman - Norm MacDonald (only done twice as to not poke too much fun at the legend)
Pat - Julia Sweeney (pre movie as well)
Bill Swerski's Superfans - Farley, Myers, Smigel and Wendt
Unfrozen Caveman Layer - Hartman
Phil Donahue (often forgotten, one of the best ever) - Hartman

That's all I have off the top of my head. Norm and Farley are gods, that's all I know.

Was there some sort of recurring skit where guys would wear wigs and have a girls sleep over/slumber party? Then once David Wells, David Cone and Jeter did it and Jeter was "Mrs. Sor..i..AN..o!"  and then Stenibrenner came in?

Or was that just a one time thing? It was gold one way or the other

how is snl these days? I have not watched the show in awhile.is there anyone you think is set for future stardom? I think it would be great to bing chevy chase back with his success now on a sitcom. It would be perfect for around xmas to have him knock over a tree again.

"Massive head wound harry" was a good one. Ace and Gary were great.
Still don't believe in Joe.
