I think Monty is highly overrated. They did better movies

In Living Color was very good and forced the era of the good Super Bowl half time show

SNL. The show has some highs and some LOWS. But the highs are some of the best comedy ever on tv.

As with the SNL poll, my favorite is not here: The Benny Hill Show. After that is Monty Python and SNL. Don't watch SNL much anymore as it has a very obvious liberal agenda.

  You should probably put Benny Hill in the list, not that it would get my vote.

  I'd say Monty Python out of the list but (age showing) Carol Burnett was probably funnier than any of them.

Carol Burnett Show and, for me, it's not even close. Tim Conway and Harvey Korman team with Carol and Vicki Lawrence for without a doubt, some of the most consistently laugh out loud comedy sketches ever.

Conway was so funny he often had Harvey, Carol and Vicki it stitches in the middle of the skits.

Gonna show my age here, but I have to go with Monty Python as a step above anyone else.  And on a somewhat(ok, much) lower level I really loved Benny Hill- just looking at his face made me laugh, though I couldn't understand about 25% of what he said- especially in the songs. And others have mentioned Carol Burnett- pretty good if you could stand to watch the whole show, though Harvey Korman was amazing. And I have to mention Tracy Ullman too, she's a tremendous talent, though I don't know if she fits in this category.

Can't really comment on most of the others- don't really watch tv anymore, mostly because I'm too cheap to pay for it, and if I really want something I'll have one of my sons record it for me. Matter of fact, one of my sons did give me a dvd of Kids in the Hall which I've never watched, guess I'll have to check it out.
And as for the question of why, it doesn't matter why or how much you explain it, you either like it or you don't.

Yeah ... I already voted before the list change so at least I'd be contributing, but it was my 2nd choice.
