Brad is a foolish coach

When was the last time Smart made a last sec 3??

Basically never.  He has shaky hand syndrome in the 4th

Brad could have easily sat Smart and played a better 3 pt shooter

This is how you lose tight games

TL not getting enough mins when he was dominating the paint. Because brad has to balance mins. This is how to lose a game like this

Its just awful

He is so fixated that his starters has to also finish the game. Has to save timeouts. That he ends up shooting himself on the foot.... and never learns from it

I can only think of one game that Brad had won against popovich . The rest is close loses. How does he manage to lose to pops every single time

I'm sorry, but Kemba-Tatum-Brown is simply not our best option. Three alpha scorers out there fumbling all over each other. It's too bad Brad can't stand up to his own players and put the best rotations out on the floor. I want to see Payton playing with Tatum / Brown . . . plays better defense than Kemba, distributes better than Kemba, but can score if Brown and Tatum are being blanketed. Great at penetrating and then kicking it out to open shooters. Have Kemba come in as a microwave scorer in the second unit. It would never, ever happen, unfortunately. In 2 years when Kemba leaves and PP is handed the first unit reins, watch out.

Teague and Tristin need to sit. At this point Tremont might be slightly better than Teague (and that's not a compliment). And Tristin is a massive waste of space out there almost all the time. Still flabbergasted much of this board thinks Rob Williams is clearly inferior to Tristan . . . Rob alters shots, blocks shots, get rebounds, and can actually shoot the ball, if needed.

How can Smart be the one taking the last shot on this team...

Because Brad is a...

I mean, it was a wide open shot. It was a good play.

I’d prefer Tatum or Brown shooting a contested over a wide open shot for Smart.
That just silly. Then everyone would be saying “why didn’t they draw up a play to get an open shot???”

Its not silly. Smart is an automatic brick in that situation.  He is anti clutch offensively late in games

Kemba needs to play better with JT and JB. I know he's used to being the main scorer his whole career, but he needs to step back and let the Js do their thing.

Yeah those contested stepback bricks by Tatum look awfully "clutch" (seriously what the **** is a clutch gene??? these narrative-driven arguments are insane ::)).
Jaylen Brown for All-NBA

You're insane if you are comparing Tatum vs Smart clutch shot making ability

Tatum has hit his share of game winners/late game shots. Tonight that drive on Poetl was big

Smart on the other hand is almost done building his house

That last shot is on Brad for leaving him out there

Would you prefer Semi take that shot?  Grant Williams, perhaps?

Our bench isn’t exactly filled with proven crunch-time snipers.

Lol.  Green?  Okay then.

Smart is shooting 46% on corner threes this year, by the way.  Just so you know.

Doesnt matter

Im good with Smart taking his shots in the 1st half. Even 3rd

Just not in the 4th. Especially with less than 5 mins

46 percent corner 3 pt shooting goes out the window with less than 5 min

Again, when was the last time you recall Smart making an open 3 with less than  2-3 min in the game?  He just misses shots

What was up with those rotations? Way too many people coming in are you kidding me. Most of the bench guys weren't even able to get into a rhythm (not that they would otherwise lol). I thought that was messy. Spurs with Poertl and Aldridge and Keldon (who plays big) are pretty big, and we once again got exposed on the paint. We still need a starting caliber big man to be a legit title contender. Theis is not gonna cut it, and his eventual good games end up being distractions to that. God, they should've just went for Edited for profanity.  Please do not do it again.ing Turner
