Game Notes
The Celtics return home after a quick two games road trip on back to back games Friday and Saturday nights. Tonight's game against the Orlando Magic will be the first three games in four nights run for the Celtics this season. The Celtics are coming off a surprisingly tough 103-101 victory over the Knicks in New York Saturday night.

Orlando comes into the TD Garden on a two game losing streak and will also be playing in their own three games in four night stretch. In their last game in Philadelphia versus the Sixers, they played tough in a very close 116-115 loss.

The Celtics will have to play without Aron Baynes who hurt his hamstring in the win over the Knicks but should have star smaal forford Gordon Hayward back after he rested his ankle last game. The Celtics need to get their offense out of the early season funk it has been in. The only players that have been consistent over the first three games have been Jayson Tatum, who is averaging 21 points per game and 10.7 rebounds per game, and Marcus Morris off the bench who has been giving the Celtics a nice 13.3 points a game off the bench.

Stevens needs to get the starting five flowing better offensively and try to incorporate Brown  better while balancing the need to get Irving and Hayward back to speed and getting Tatum his shots. Without Baynes, Stevens will need to get a significant rebounding presence from all players and a solid game from Daniel Theis. Nikola Vucevic and Aaron Gordon will kill the Celtics on the boards on both ends if the team doesn't get an all around effort to rebound.

Orlando should be getting Jonathan Simmons back after missing the last game. The Magic are, like the Celtics, very long and athletic and has been getting solid offense this year from Vucevic. Gordon and Evan Fournier as all three players are averaging between 17 and 18.7 points per game. Where the Magic will struggle is that bench is not very good except for Terrance Ross and they will need to have journeyman starting PG, D. J. Augustin attempt to shut down Celtics star, Kyrie Irving.

apc:
Morris is questionable.  :(
This will not be an easy game.
