One loss and already the Nets are going to be a problem? Man I wish people would be a little more optimistic about the Celts just a little.

Been optimistic about the Celtics - since 1981. Been through quite a few ups and downs during that time with this team.

For the here and now the same PG that our team went on a 16 game winning streak in 2017-18 when Gordon went down is NOW with the Nets - and awaiting for his 1st Alpha since LeBron James to come back (KD).

While I am certainly optimistic about our team and I love Kemba, we're going to need Gordon Hayward back playing at an All-Star level, Kemba to continue his play and the young-uns to continue to step up to  be competitive with the Nets next year.

And while I love our three-headed monster of Centers in Theis/Kanter/RWill they aren't King Ghidorah.

Our margin of error is SMALL. While this team CAN be competitive for the next few years with the best we will probably have some tough choices to make sooner or later.

Betting on Kyrie and Durants health to hold up during a full season and into the playoffs is like betting that Dustin Pedroia is going to return from his multi year injury and make the all star game.

Durant is coming back from a brutal injury and Kyrie is on  the injured list yearly. A lot has to be perfect for the Nets to get to the finals for one year let alone multiple years.

Yes, if healthy, they will be a tough out for sure, but I am not losing any sleep over it this year.

Let's take it one year at the time.

Let's see how Durant looks coming back from a torn Achilles. Lots of guys just don't come back the same after Achilles injuries. And, he will be 32 next year, not exactly a young guy coming back from such an injury.

I'm not so sure. Irving makes their offence way worse, and KD might never be the same.

However, if they were to ship Kyrie and KD were to return to form (which I don't think he will) they certainly could be a problem.
'23 Historical Draft: Orlando Magic.

PG: Terry Porter (90-91) / Steve Francis (00-01)
SG: Joe Dumars (92-93) / Jeff Hornacek (91-92) / Jerry Stackhouse (00-01)
SF: Brandon Roy (08-09) / Walter Davis (78-79)
PF: Terry Cummings (84-85) / Paul Millsap (15-16)
C: Chris Webber (00-01) / Ralph Sampson (83-84) / Andrew Bogut (09-10)
