A second wind has inspired me!  I just got back from the game.  A big fat thanks to Wil for hooking me up with a great seat for tonight's banner raiser.  An emotional night for the Captain and Co..  Really cool to see the vacant banner spot be filled in.

As for the game.  A very physical one, and certainly not the C's at their finest, but Pierce had enough bullets to carry the offense, and Powe and TA led the charge off the bench.

KG held his tradition of clanking his first shot of the year, and Perk had enough silly fouls to last a week or two (if we're lucky).

I've got to hit the hay.  Fun night indeed.  My votes go Pierce 3, Powe 2 (how can I count the ways I love Leon?), TA 1

If you need an explanation on the poll, make up your own rules and enjoy ;)

Agreed with Redz: Paul, Leon and Tony as the MVP's of the first game of the season

  • Rondo doesn't believe in easy buckets...
Pierce is the MVP. He picked up where he left off scoring at will against the Cavaliers.

Rondo is runner up it's all in the numbers. 14pts, 6asts, 5rbs, 3stls, and 2tos on 80% shooting from the field. He also went to the line 10 times. If he can improve his free throw shooting he might be ready for that all-star game sooner than later :D.

Powe comes in 3rd. Was just a beast last night. Finishing strong and hard at the rim. And the monster Jam on poor Delonte.

Poor poor Delonte...

Pierce is the MVP - no question.  He carried the offense, and he also played LeBron about as well as he can be played.

Powe is second.  If the announcers got one thing right all night, it's that he has a knack for being in the right place at the right time.

Rondo is third.  He had a great game, aside from the dumb foul in the closing seconds.

Game 1 is a no brainer!  PP the MVP.

Point system works by awarding the top voters percentage x 3, 2nd place x 2, and the rest x 1.

hmmmm...I'll work on the columns after trick or treating with the kids tonight. ;)

Can't be worse than the Hall's Menthalyptus & Coffee buzz I'm working on now.  I tell ya some people would pay good money for the stars I'm seeing after a good coughing fit.  My daughter brings home all sorts of interesting germs from kindergarten. ::)

Yup

Schools are the worst for that.  I never got sick as much as I did my four years teaching in Philly.  (of course, the lack of hand soap and paper towels in the restrooms also probable made it worse)
