Cut Daniel Theis

Theis is a bargain basement monster, he plays his butt off and he sees/knows how to work the court better than Hayward does now.

Celtics don't have any size as it is, he stays. BTW, Theis is a tremendous veteran locker room presence.

Williams doesn't even dress for games. My guess is the coach sees no need for him to as the team has shown little indication that they've integrated anybody anywhere let alone a rookie who knows nothing.

I was actually thinking that Brad should try Theis as the starting PF, with either Brown or Hayward coming off the bench. Theis is a high energy, max effort guy that doesn't need the ball to be effective. He seems to have a very good basketball IQ and seems like a team first type of guy. Just have him concentrate on rebounding and defending. But in no way would I consider cutting Theis, as he probably isn't near the team's top 50 problems at the moment.

Great to see the responses here!  I have to admit when I saw the thread title my first reaction was “you got to be kidding”.  Glad the community made fast work of this idea.  Theis needs more minutes.

Theis is a great player for this team. He doesn’t complain and does a professional job when asked. You never know when a injury pops up to one of our big men and Theis will be asked to fill in.  He is very valuable.

Theis was playing great last year before he good hurt. If he can get back to that level he will be a very nice asset. We need his rebounding and defense.
