Actually this is just an idiotic move period. Why waive him, just tell him to go home and keep that contract on the books to use as a filler down the road. OKC should be targeting Embiid right now

And if you’re OKC how are you not at least trying to get out of Bertans here. Just idiotic, Stone has compromising pictures of Presti or something

They’re waiving him because more of his contact guaranteed next year if he’s on the team opening night this year.

OKC got a pile of cash to do this I’m assuming

The picks are going to OKC, not Houston, so that’s the payoff.

I know that. So they’re just going to waive KP? $60 Million for two second rounders? Its an idiotic move unless Houston is paying a good portion of that money owed

It's not $60 million; only $16 million or so is guaranteed.

OKC took on a net of $5 million for two #2s.

Considering how many seconds they already have, I don't think "buying" two more for $5 million is a good deal
I'm bitter.

Houston isn't good, and they have miles to go before they are. Those 2nd rounders could be top 40 picks.

Not Houston’s picks, one from Minnesota, one from Milwaukee.

This makes more sense but it’s still an overpay.
