Now Jrue Holiday is on the block hell be 34 next year and wanting a fat new contract.  Riley obviously dissatisfied with Dame going to the Bucks.

Does Riley make a big push for Holiday now? And does that make them even scarier this year.  I think it does. That dude is tough just like Bam and Jimmy.

With that said should the Celtics make a push to trade Brogdon plus picks and fillers for Jrue. Tough call.

Given the controversy between the Blazers and Heat around the Dame stuff, I doubt the Blazers would help out the Heat unless they have by far the best offer.

I think Lillard made them scarier, as it was their offence that was their issue - their defence is strong

Dame would be the better addition, but Jrue would presumably require giving up less in a trade. If it was Lillard vs. Jrue and Bam then Jrue and Bam are more valuable, but I don't think Miami would have made that deal anyway so it's sort of moot
I'm bitter.

Jrue is closer to Derrick White than he is Damian Lillard.

Bucks defense was not good last year. They were 14th in the regular season and gave up 127ppg vs Miami in the playoffs. Losing their second best defensive player isn’t exactly going to help matters.

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

Yes, if the Heat had nothing that the Blazers wanted for Dame I doubt they would still have anyone for Jrue.

Did Miami alienate Tyler Herro with the Lillard rumors, and maybe be forced to trade him.

Nope

I agree. He is. But I love both White and Jrue.

Dame is vastly overrated.  Dame is closer to Prime Kemba Walker . Jrue is better than Dame.  Guy can't guard my Grandmother and he's a tiny little man.

Jrue's 3 playoff runs in MIL had good per game averages of 18ppg 8apg 6rpg but on terrible efficiency at only 40% FG% 30% 3PT% 47.6% TS%.

His effectiveness / efficiency is woeful when it comes to big games in the playoffs. He has some stellar regular season numbers in games that don't matter but struggles mightly when the games that do matter come around.

His impact in the post-season is not what is expected of an elite guard. It is closer to what is expected of a guard like Derrick White or Marcus Smart.

And he changes the game defensively.  Who's guarding Tatum and Brown now??? In the past it was Wes Mathews and Holiday.  Who's guarding the best tandem of wings in all of basketball?

Pat Connington? Who else do they even have. Giannis wasn't covering the Jay's hardly at all last year if memory serves. The Bucks are finished IMO.
