The Boston Celtics have met with unrestricted free agent Dalano Banton  this evening

Whom?

6’7 wing from Toronto

He’s 2-way eligible, so I’m going to hope that’s the extent of their conversation.

An important implication of Kyrie getting a non max deal is that Dallas has the full non-taxpayer MLE to use... G. Will might be gone.

That starts at 12.4 million, C's would match that I think. Its less than they reportedly offered him during his extension negotiations.

Doesn’t Boston already have a guy or two like this? Just more end of the bench guys that never play

Well I'd definitely rather have KP on 2/60 then Poetl on 4/80.

Middleton 3/102 is a lot given his injuries and decline. Bucks had to do it with Giannis though.

He has some talent and can actually play the point. I thought he was going to get backup minutes to start the season last year for Toronto, but kind of tailed off. If he can put it together gives nice depth at the guard and wing spots.

Apparently the Strus sign and trade isn't even confirmed yet.

The biggest loser so far has to be Portland. Giving Jerami Grant over $30 mil for 5 years just to be mediocre. Lillard is an albatross on Portland's shoulder at this point.

The Cavs would need to send out about $12 million in salary, but Strus can only bring back $9.5 million to the Heat, who are also in the luxury tax, so they need a helper.

Jevon Carter got 3yrs $20mil from Chicago.

Why sign another PG? They already got Caruso, Coby White, Ayo Dosunmu. Why a 4th PG?

They are so light at the two forward spots as well. Just terrible cap & roster management.
