I’m scratching my head over why the wizards would give Kuzma that deal.  I thought they were trying to bottom out this year.

I guess they have to meet a salary minimum but just seems weird to me

I’ve been trying to figure that out too.  I thought maybe there was a trade kicker that was getting reported to pump up the numbers, but that only gets it to 4/61.  So either S&T or bad reporting.

You can meet minimum salary by overpaying on one-year deals.  Besides if you failed to meet the minimum, I thought the only consequence was the shortfall was just divided up among all the players on the team.
