Marc Stein: Hornets GM Mitch Kupchak said today at a pre-draft press conference that final say on who Charlotte selects at No. 2 on Thursday night — Brandon Miller or Scoot Henderson — will belong to outgoing owner Michael Jordan. – via Twitter TheSteinLine

Why...?

I don't understand Charlotte at all.

That is strange ...

Given his track record, he'll almost certainly select the wrong guy.

Exactly. And I don't get leaving a decision to a guy who isn't going to be as invested in the future (literally).

It's just weird. It's like Charlotte wants to make mistakes.

Kind of ironic that he finally hit in the draft with LaMelo Ball, a player that you can build around and now he’s walking away. Also, isn’t Scoot a point guard? Seems like Miller would be the better fit for the Hornets.

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

Watch him select neither Scoot nor Miller

I hope they stick to their guns.  I would love to see Miami come out of this offseason with less then more.

DAMIAN LILLARD
PG, PORTLAND TRAIL BLAZERS

The Blazers have "shut down anyone who calls for Damian Lillard", according to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.

They moved on from Poole real fast. Guess that means Draymond is sticking around.

Bout players, like Jordan Poole, who when they get a lot of money, they change on how they play and their role on the team..Poole wanted to be top player on Warriors when he got his big contract by taking game decisions shots at end of games instead of Klay or Steph..said that never sat well with Warriors players and mess up locker room

Draymond punching him is what hurt the dynamics in that locker room. Kinda hard to rebuild chemistry when your teammate decks you.

The Jazz signed Justin Mazzulla (brother of Joe) as an assistant coach and Joey Hauser (brother of Sam) to a two-way contract.

I saw the Bulls VP state that, regarding Lonzo Ball, “Our expectation is that he's not going to be back next season”.

Man, that is pretty crushing. He could be looking at 35 games played in 3 seasons. Unsure he comes back - guess it’s possible
