I'll raise liam by one win to make a point.

57 wins

Bucks, 76'ers, Raptors have all moved backwards and if you leave Leonard off the raps, weren't that good in the first place.

I don't really let "past rosters" get into my analysis....I'm not that smart.

This line up is going to be as good as any other eastern team.

Bucks were "bigger" last season, but, that isn't going to have the same effect this coming year.  Twelve months is a long time.

The Celtics will be a regular season juggernaut with depth and youth and a bunch of guys with "something to prove." None of the guys on this roster will be "writing their own ticket". They will be a "Steven's team" which means they will chew up the regular season.

If they make the NBA finals? There are four western teams with "two top players."

Steven's teams put up consistently strong defensive numbers. This team will also, with one caveat. The 2019/2020 Boston Celtics have the opportunity to put up very strong offensive numbers and this is why.

This year's Celtics are going to be underdogs.

46-47 wins. 1st round exit.

I think this team's defense and bench will be its downfall.

I will be thrilled to be completely wrong and see the Celtics win 50+ games, but, I just don't see it happening, not unless Ainge gives Stevens a couple more reliable rotation players sometime before the trade deadline.

82-0

nba champs.

really guys and gals, NO ONE picked this and we are on page 3 already? sigh. i am surrounded by people who lack faith, believe in going small, and refuse to rejoice in the impossible. sometimes it is better for our souls to believe in the fantastic and be wrong than think small and be correct.

82-0....book it folks!!! and for every win less than that, each of you owe a tp for being so negative.  ;D

p.s. nick's prediction, the one immediately above my post, is full of crap.   ;D ;D

I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

I predict 56 wins and an ECF appearance. And if Danny can obtain an upgrade at center, at the trade deadline, I can see this team coming out of the East. Milwaukee will be our biggest challenge. A lot of pundits/analysts are talking up Philly. I don't see them as improved over last year. Now that Butler and Reddick are gone, who's gonna take the last shot/clutch shots ? Unless Embiid gets in better shape or Simmons develops a mid range shot, Philly is my fourth pick to come out of the East. Indy is improved and will be in the playoff mix.. . ranked third to come out of the East. I'm excited about this year's Celtics. Team chemistry should be improved. Our rebounding will be improved. I see the J's all around games taking the next step. I see Hayward next year as a facilitator, averaging 20 ppg. Edwards and G. Wil should be in the rotation, 15 min per game. Maybe R. Wil also takes the next step. My biggest concerns are frontcourt D, points in the paint and getting to the free throw line more than last year.

55 wins and a Finals berth. Go big or go home with the preseason predictions!

Predict that we have at least two All-Stars, as well - Kemba and at least one of Tatum, Hayward, or Brown.

45 wins.  Maybe higher if Robert Williams and Tacko are used the way they were used in the Summer league. They could solve their paint problems. Right now, a team with no paint game. Kanter may help as well, if also used inside--his game.

It's really a team in transition. What direction Hayward and Tatum go will also be a factor.
