If we’re “already in rebuilding mode”...

Lets let Ray Allen walk.

Draft a kid at 19 that can shoot/run.

Let him and Rondo go to work.

We’ll still have veteran front-court of KG+PP.



BUT...

if we’re not in rebuilding yet, then we get Ray back and let this kid play off the bench for development.

I like it. But I'm all for rebuilding around Rondo, as in; let's get a bunch of noobs and make Rondo look like an even bigger star.

Whether we're in rebuilding mode or not, we need to draft Paul George (pretty please, with a cherry on top) and throw him in the fire, as you said.  Resign Ray, limit his minutes to 30-32 a game, along with Pierce, and make George our 6th man.
