Contest rules:

Each contestant can make one post, with up to five predictions.

Each contestant gets a point for each match of a player to a specific team.  For instance, if you predict Jabari Bird to the Pelicans for Anthony Davis, and Bird ends up getting traded to the Pelicans, you get 1 point.  If Davis goes to the Celtics, you get 1 additional point.

Points are only awarded for correct players; draft picks can be included for bragging rights, but correctly predicting swaps of draft rights won't result in points.

Nobody is going to be checking to see if your predicted trades work in the trade machine.

Deals that are reported in the media as pending or essentially complete won't be counted, at the discretion of the staff.  However, trades that are in the discussion stage -- i.e., Anthony Davis to the Lakers -- are fair game.

The contest ends at 12:01am EST February 7, 2009.

The winner will receive their point total, multiplied by 20 TPs.  Second place gets their point total multiplied by 10 TPs; third place by 5 TPs.  All others receive TPs equal to their point total.  (One caveat:  if you complain that the staff hasn't awarded you your TPs yet, you forfeit them.  We'll pay them when we have time, and we won't forget about you.)
