Just started a couple of weeks ago and is funny and well written.  My wife and I both like it a lot thus far.  Julia Louis-Dreyfus plays the Vice President and she has a pretty stellar supporting cast.  The President has yet to make an appearance and I'm not sure he will.  Worth checking out if you have the time and is much better than Girls, HBO's other new 30 minute comedy.

It is a show about the Vice President (and one who does not have a working relationship with the President).  One of the reasons they chose a woman as the VP was because they didn't want the character compared to an actual VP.  I think the same will hold true with the President in the show.  They talk about him all the time and some of his staff is on the show, but I don't think they want to have the President actually be on the show.  Perhaps a brief role here and there, but it really is a show about the VP and I think they want to keep it that way.

I would highly recommend watching The Thick Of It, Veep creator Armando Iannucci's BBC show about British politics (He also created The Day Today and Knowing Me, Knowing You which says something mighty impressive), and the movie In The Loop. It is absolutely brilliant and all on youtube I believe. Though the creative cursing in it (which is amazing) makes it unlinkable on this blog  ;)
