i think the series is honestly good for any age.  i love the characters, storyline, animation.....and being a martial artist myself, fully appreciate the detail the artists use for all the fighting/bending and forms. they are spot on.

the last airbender movie......i have mixed feelings.  i think the animated series blows it away with the character development. that was my main gripe about the film.  also that they pronounce avatar and aang incorrectly throughout the film.  they made some changes in the storyline, but i didnt mind the changes too much.  the special effects in the film are really cool though.

if you go into the film with an open mind and understanding that it is different than the series, i think you will enjoy it.  but if you expect the film to be the same as the series, you wont like it.

the characters in the film is a big detriment though.  aang, zuko, and katara are all bearable but not as good as the series version.  sokka kills it for me tho.  the series has him as a sarcastic, funny kind of guy while the film has him serious and intense, which sucked.

also, the film is based only on the water book.  the plan is to make it a trilogy with the earth book being next and fire book last.

Home Movies

I still get sad when I watch that final episode.

For other home movies fans, the new fox show, Bob's Burgers. Features the voice of Coach Mcguirk, and will be having cameos from the entire home movies cast throughout the season.

The first episode was pretty decent.

I hear you there mate! There has been a ton of adult cartoons come out in the last decade but Home Movies would have to be my favourite, ever since I stumbled across it in 2002. Everyone involved on that show had a great comedic talent, especially Brendon Small and Jon Benjamin.

Interesting to hear about this new show, anywhere online I can check it out?
