Complete domination against a playoff rival tonight.

Always nice to see the Celtics win and Lakers lose on Christmas  ;D

Lakers really look lottery bound for the Pelicans.

Whether the Pellies use that pick or use it in a trade to get vet help, they could be pretty good soon.

They can probably get into the Trae Young sweepstakes if indeed he asks out. CJ and parts for Trae? Then use the pick to strengthen their bench. Or could that lottery pick be enough for Atlanta to bite? Salaries will need to balance out though.

Team has good balance and depth. As good as Young can be C's are better as is than dealing for him.

This was a statement game IMO. Bucks never really were in control. I don't care if Middleton wasn't there it was a 20 point win.

I hope this is the Celtics righting the ship after a rough patch.

19/39 on 3's.

If we were not so reliant on those falling, I'd feel more confident.

Not to say I'm not liking their chances, but I have some reservations.

Still don't believe in Joe.

They did it vs Minn as well. The game turned for good once those two picked it up.

They don't really need more offense. They need to play better team defense, which Young won't help with. The C's top 3 scorers all defend, which is rare.

Could not agree more. A team without players like Young, Irving, Hardin, etc. is so much easier to like and be a fan of.
I'll always love the Celtics, but I do not miss the days of Bad News Barnes, Wicks & Rowe, Kyrie Irving or even Antoine Walker (though he loved being a Celtic - just didn't play like one).

The Four Celtic Generals:
Russell - Cowens - Bird - Garnett

The Four Celtic Lieutenants:
Cousy - Havlicek - McHale - Pierce

Agreed. We are not winning any titles relying on just hot shooting from 3.
We have to recapture that elite defense from last season to be a more complete team.
That and add some muscle inside - one player who can rebound and defend and push opponents around a little.
(And enjoy it).
