Does this team attempt to play defense anymore?

If the team ever decides to put up a statue outside the Garden for Coach Joe, the sculptor will have a very easy time creating his likeness since he looks pretty much like a frozen statue most of the game. I'm starting to wonder is he simply has no idea what to do when the team struggles.

25 - 2 run by Indiana !!!!!!

I’ve been giving Joe the benefit of the doubt when it comes to his no timeout” policy. But man, you need to adjust at some point! It was 11-5 when Indiana called a timeout. Joe waited for them to go on a 15-0 run before calling his own timeout.  And now here we are again playing catch up. It’s fine to “let the guys figure it out” but there has to be some balance when the other team goes on an insane run. It’s just so frustrating.

He's an immature yet dogmatic in his philosophy coach at this point. Not a great combination. Very concerned about him going forward with this major 180 we've taken.

well, at least they have 3 more quarters to figure it out and play better. lots of time to win, but it all means nothing if they keep playing lazy defense and putting up bricks.  :P

6 TOs in the quarter.  horrible

Most of them unforced, too. Just indicative of how dumb and scared we've been playing.

42 points in one quarter for the pacers. Good lord that’s nauseating

if you think a lack of time outs is the reason for this catastrophe tonight, then we disagree. how did the celtics do after their time out? everything solved on defense and they started making shots?

no.

the problem is more than timeouts here.

I don't think Tatum even looking at his teammates. Every time he gets the ball he's shooting.

Can't hit 3's or free-throws. MKE is going to wreck us on Sunday if they don't get their act together
Still don't believe in Joe.

This team is just going to keep jacking 3's to insane numbers no matter how many they miss.
Is there nothing more in the playbook ?

Really wonder what is going on inside players' minds like Horford and Brogdon, who understand good basketball.
They have to be having serious doubts about their teammates and their coach.

We've missed a ton of bunnies.

That last Tatum shot is the crap we have to stop doing, particularly both of the Jays. Threes are fine in rhythm, but at this point with how we're shooting the off screen above the break threes are just bad shots.
