I've seen a lot of posts about would you trade Rondo for this player or that player, and all of them seem to dominate with users being extremely wary to part ways with our young point guard.  What players WOULD you guys trade Rondo for, realistically?

straight up without any other considerations

I can think of at least 20 players just off the top of my head
2023 Historical Draft - Brooklyn Nets - 9th pick

Bigs - Pau, Amar'e, Issel, McGinnis, Roundfield
Wings - Dantley, Bowen, J. Jackson
Guards - Cheeks, Petrovic, Buse, Rip

Do you mean realistically as in something that could actually happen? Or just a trade that we'd say yes to.

Now that Rondo has signed an extension I don't see us trading him for anyone.

Chris Paul. Derrick Rose. Deron Williams. Durant, Lebron, Wade, Howard. Maybe Amare or Wall if he pans out. So, um, a lot.

Mmm... I'm open for anything, really.

I wouldn't trade him for anyone besides LeBron or Wade right now because of all of the things he brings to the table at his age.

However, if after the off-season he comes back and shoots no better at the freethrow line than he did last year (especially during The Finals) then I might be upset enough to throw a lot more names onto that list.

Roy

SF
Carmello
LeBron

PF

I've heard too many people say they wouldn't trade Rondo for Chris Paul... Personally, I think if anyone believes that, they're kidding themselves.  Rondo is close, but not on the level of the Chris Pauls and Deron Williams of the league.

In the right deal I might take someone Joe Johnson-like.

Yeah pretty much everyone listed above.

Although I would pass on Roy and Yao due to history of injuries.

In general I'd take Rondo over Dirk and Duncan due to age. However considering the chance at extending the title window, I'd do it. The same would go for Stoudemire.

I also like Horford a lot, possibly Bogut as well.

Good list, but you would trade a 24 year old Rondo for a 34 year old Duncan and 32 year old Dirk? If we traded him I would want us to get someone at least under 28.

I'd be wary of Yao's injury history too.

TP for the stellar list.  I would probably not take Duncan just becasue of age, but the rest I'd seriously consider straight up and a handful I'd take without hesitation as stated in my earlier post (I just couldn't bring myself to say Kobe, but that was kind of understood I figured).

Emm ... hmm .. let's see

There is Chris Paul and Deron Williams. LeBron, Wade, Roy and Durant. Possibly Evan Turner too. Chris Bosh and Dwight Howard. Maybe Oden or Bynum. Possibly Blake Griffin. Maybe Carmelo but he is right on the edge. Not sure about Tyreke Evans but he play himself onto this list over the next 12 months too.

Somewhere around 10 players. Needs to be an All-NBA level talent + be young, preferably under the age of 26, enough to build around long term.

I would also consider a package based around Steph Curry + Anthony Randolph.

I wouldn't trade him for half those guys.  Is Kevin Love's name really on that list??

Love the Randolph comment he's borderline All NBA around here.
