So tonight we end up with pick number 2 and pick number 9.
or, #14 instead. it should be very interesting tonight. i would not be surprised to have ainge bundle picks to move up in the draft in many scenarios.

If he nabs pick number 2, things will get very very interesting.

if we get #2, keep it and draft Morant and let kyrie walk..going be a great one
C/PF-Horford, Baynes, Noel, Theis, Morris,
SF/SG- Tatum, Brown, Hayward, Smart, Semi, Clark

I think you have to just go full out youth in that situation.

Morant
Brown
Tatum
Horford
Williams

Smart/Hayward/Baynes off the bench.

Probably have trade options for Hayward and Horford to load up on more youth.

seems complex and risky

Could see ainge trading morant for an established star

Morant is not a given. He could end up like Wiggins

We also have a chance of moving up to 3 or 4.

This should sum it up for tonight in terms of scenarios:

Celtics fans here is what you are looking for tonight:

First envelope to not be Boston. That means that #KingsPick jumped to the top-4.

Then you don't want to see Memphis 9-12. You want Memphis to stay top-8.

Then you want to see Boston at 2-4. #1 would go to PHI & BOS gets 24.

5:23 AM - 14 May 2019

PHI getting the #1 pick (and us, #24) would be the absolute worst case scenario obviously. Also hope the Knicks don't land #1.

FWIW - just caught the ESPN rehearsal for tonight’s NBA draft lottery. Rachel Nichols and Mark Tatum announced Phx as the winner.  Hopefully this isn’t a sign of what’s to come.

1. Suns
2. Mavericks
3. Bulls
4. Cavs
5. Knicks

To clarify, if #1 happens, then it's very likely the Memphis pick conveys.

If the Sacto pick moves up, Memphis definitively moves down to the #9 spot.  Or #10 if say Charlotte also moves up.

Unless Memphis also jumps up to a top-4 pick, which means it won't convey.

I could live with that as it means the Knicks don’t get a top 3 pick to challenge our trade package for Davis.

The Knicks getting the #1 pick is the worst case scenario for the Celtics, they could trade it for AD, then sign Kyrie and KD outright.

If the Knicks don’t get the pick, I’m calling it now:

Al Horford
Anthony Davis
Kevin Durant
Jalen Brown
Kyrie Irving

That team wins the title
