The Bucks are the biggest hurdle in the eastern conference.

This win gives us an idea that it's not far-fetched to think the Celts will be in the eastern conference finals in May.

man an ECF against the bucks would be a brutally tough series
probably pretty entertaining

True.

But for the Celts to be able to beat the Bucks 4 times, I think the Celts must upgrade.

We don't need a big man like Kevin Love or Blake Griffin.
Celts already have lots of offense.

What the Celts need is a big who's more of a defensive force.

I think we all can agree we would like a low post defensive upgrade if possible.

All kudos to Semi tonight and all the guys on def tonight in the 2nd half.  I loved the superb effort, but I don't know if we can beat the Bucks in a playoff series without some more help down low.  But then again after the first half who thought we could play as well as we did to win that game?

Grant Williams has been pretty surprising in how def ready he has been.  He is quietly giving us really good tough minutes guarding much taller guys and doing it well.  Maybe he can continue the improvement throughout the year, same with Timelord.

Heck of a win which I'm sure a lot of people (and put me at the top of the list) didn't see coming after that first half. Milwaukee had some solid cold shooting down the stretch but the C's team defense really impressed me.  This is a fun team to watch when they get it going - and it's so great watching Kemba do to other teams what he always seemed to do to us.  Loved the way he closed things out tonight. Big game by Hayward too.

Looks like the C's athleticism bothered the Bucks tonight.  Always a good thing when you make Ilyasova and Korver have to guard someone.

Curious what you saw tonight that makes you think that?

Bucks bigs didn't give us much problem down low, as they don't with other teams either since they are stretch bigs.  If anything, we need athletic bigs that can contest their 3s.

We held Giannis to 22 points.  While that might not be the norm every time we play them, I think Semi and Marcus are good defenders to throw at him and Grant Williams might become viable in that scenario as well.  I also think the NBA's new emphasis on offensive foul calls could hurt Giannis' effectiveness and can be used to gameplan against him with what we currently have.

No Enes..No Brown...No win
Hee hee hee.

Great game without brown.

Yeah, but Celts might also face the Sixers and Embiid.

The upgrade for a big man is not only for the Bucks, it's also for other big teams.

Celts visiting San Antonio next week would be another good test.

Spurs really a problem for the Celts last season.

Celts had no answer for Aldridge.

Celtics will be fine against Embiid. We basically shut him down on the opener, just couldn't buy any buckets and team still not finding their groove.

Four games in and the stink of last season is going away.

I wish there had been a way to keep Al and Baynes.
There was a way to keep Al.  Match Philly's offer or at least come reasonably close to it.

although then we couldn't have signed kemba

In a 7-game series, you have to win 4 times against the same opponent.

The Center spot is clearly in need of an upgrade.
If the Celts can upgrade the position without giving up any of the Celtic key players then it will make the Celts better in the playoffs.

The team playing together like this proves how much of a sh**show Kyrie's time here was. A game like this is such a great way to turn the page.
