and David Stern is still trying to compensate for something

This is just ridiculous.

The guy says he wants to be traded so Stern steals $25 grand from the guy for " public statements detrimental to the NBA".

You don't say. He requested a trade publicly. Goodness gracious. Whatever will we do?

I guess it's not detrimental to the NBA to have players lie to fans and media and say they're happy when they're not and say they want to stay where they are when they don't.

I know there's apparently a rule about demanding a trade publicly.  I can't remember an example of the NBA fining any other player, though.  Was Kobe fined?  Vince Carter?  Any of the other players saying they wanted out of town?

According to the link Artest was fined, but since Stern is judge, jury, and executioner he can do whatever he wants whenever he wants below 50K

I'm sure Stephen Jackson would gladly pay 25,000$ to get out of Golden State!

My question is: at what point to crappy owners like in Golden State or Memphis get fined for
"Conduct Detrimental to the League?"

Oh wait, Memphis gift wrapped a title for Kobe and destroyed the competitive balance of the West. Stern probably made Memphis do that.

players should only be fined if they request a trade from a team that is run well.

I am sick of whining superstars. If he doesn't want to play for Golden State that much, he's free to retire and leave the money on the table.

Well Stern is the Commissioner so I'm cool with it and from the sounds of it there is a rule. ( I guess we could ignore it )

This reminds me of the people questioning Roger Godell's power without merit.

And no way do I ever want that cancer in Boston.

Wallace, KG and Perk as the 4/5 Rotation

Allen, Pierce and Jackson as the 2/3 rotation.

Daniels, Baby, House and Walker at the deadline for Jackson. Get it done DA.

Have you seen Jackson's contract?

You really want to give up Ray Allen and maybe Rondo for him after this year?
