Lebron knows this squad isn't winning jack this season, so now he's sitting out so he can't be blamed for missing the playoffs. Magics trying to win the lotto, they kno Laker pal Adam silver will hook them up with the rig in the lottery

Lol they’re not tanking. Those guys (sans lebron) will be playing hard to win. The Lebron-less Lakers just literally has a hard time winning with him out. New Orleans take note! Thatll be your team without AD!

A guy misses over a month, plays 40 minutes in his return, shockingly might need a day off.
2023 Historical Draft - Brooklyn Nets - 9th pick

Wings - Dantley, Bowen, J. Jackson
Guards - Cheeks, Petrovic, Buse, Rip

I said this in an other site. But I thought they might be either trying to showcase the young guys or creep up in draft position. Even if LA got AD next week, they don't have a good enough team to make it to the finals. They could even get the Warriors in the first round and get bounced. So maybe wait till draft night.

But Boston would have a better chance if they signed Irving. If they got the 6th, 13th,18th, plus Brown/Rozier, ect. Lots of chances for a couple guys to pan out.

Not sure what DA should do. Got mixed feelings on the Irving stuff. Not sure how to take him. Or anyone else at that matter.

Lebron doesn't want to be embarrassed by Golden State this early so they have an excuse to lose.

He won’t have to deal with it much longer. Klutch getting his replacement ready (Marc Jackson).

The Lakers played well last night without Lebron, but there were stretches throughout where they just (young players) all looked lost and clueless. I think the trade talks may be getting to them. You can tell.

Lebron is a control freak.  He c trols everything around him.  Or he shuts down .  See his Spurs game couple years back.  He sets up the world around him.  His treatment of IT4 .....don't mess with my world .    Mr Blatt !

I have thought for years Bron maybe playing hurt more than people think.  Being hurt costs him money , and money IS his gig.

Image is everything in NBA.   He is possibly to the point that no amount of rest  cures everything , although i have speculated this for a while.  Cronic pain has set in.  Im old and i know how the deal goes , if your 21 , you think ...oh he ll be back ....sorry thats not the way father time works kids.

Bron holding the image , managing pain best he can , hoping LA will get DA and Kawhi to shoulder his burden .   CP3 is a walking injury and Wade retires,  writing on the wall .

I suspect the actual job Bron wants

Belongs to Magic Johnson

GM of the Lakers

I think they are. But I’m a bit paranoid when it comes to the Lakers.

Of course they’re tanking. The have no chance of a playoff spot and conceded as much by announcing load management for Lebron. If they drop down a couple of more spots, their lottery odds of getting a top 4 pick dramatically increase. This does not seem debatable
