I'm sorry but coaching is not responsible for a 33 point in game swing. Celtics up 40-27 and then Cleveland goes on a 81-48 run. This one is on the players. Where's the effort? Where's the pride?
Actually, its a combination. The Celtics QUIT in the 4th Quarter. But only when the outcome was determined. They made some defensive mistakes on their rotation (MO Willims).
But Doc was outcoached.
The ability for Cleveland to take over on the boards was due to the power forwards. And yes, Doc is to blame. Rasheed and KG were on the perimeter, as was Perk on the Picks for Rondo and Ray. What was needed was some low-post play, inside out. after the half. Doc missed this. Cleveland adjusted at halftime, with how they stuffed the middle and overplayed the pick and roll.
The difficult thing to swallow, is that Doc also has assistants. One of them should have seen this.
