Yeah I think a guy like Jeff Green is what they need more than Wallace. The definitely need a SF who can shoot/defend.
Now we are talking.  8)

They already have Matt Barnes?
At least a goldfish with a Lincoln Log on its back goin' across your floor to your sock drawer has a miraculous connotation to it.

Barnes shooting and defense are as inconsistent as celticsbloggers think Jeff Green is.

Only thing he does reliably is mean mug for the camera and rebound.

And the great Reggie Bullock and Chris Douglas-Roberts behind him. I wouldn't be comfortable with that at all.

I think it puts a new perspective in our depth of Green, Turner, and Wallace.

Right, so why would they need Gerald Wallace?

Steve Balmer has too much money?

Wallace is an upgrade on Barnes in every aspect except shooting, which is their biggest need at the position so yeah its a no go. They lack any backups at all behind him though.

Really they need Barnes + another rotation player.

so Rondo/Bradley (or Smart)/Wallace (or Young)/Sully/Jordon

that's a good start, now let's find ourselves a go-to-scorer and we can start rolling in the playoffs

I love seeing comments like this.  Means nothing, but I immediately went to the trade machine.   Found nothing useful.  To bad.  I'd give them there pick back if they could take Wallace.   Seems silly since they had Dudley.

Here is the comment.

The Clippers will need to make a trade at the deadline. Something's still not quite right with the roster in L.A., and I think coach Doc Rivers knows it. Expect the Clippers to make a move for a veteran forward who can play both positions, a Gerald Wallace-type. (Maybe Gerald Wallace himself? Rivers does owe Danny Ainge a solid.) Doc could have had Pierce had he wanted (for much less than GW's contract) to but he went for
Spencer Hawes instead. Plus, do they have cap space to absorb a 20m contract?

I'm sure Doc would have loved Pierce but probably realized after seeing Jordan every day for a whole season that he's a weak link.  Doc did turn Jordan into a dominant rebounder but he's worse than Perk on offense and, outside of flashy shot blocking, isn't really that good of a defender.

Hopefully Doc did not watch any of our preseason games.

Wallace looked like an old man.

Do you have any stats to back that up?
